The Occult Sin

The Occult Sin

The Lord hates the sin of the occult. The Bible says that God is a Jealous God. Jesus will not share His bride with any other god. Spiritual Adultery is getting involved with any other god other than the Lord Jesus Christ and when we are involved in the occult we are in spiritual adultery. The scriptures warn us not to get involved with any other god. Ignorance of the scriptures will not get a person off the hook.

Hosea 4:6: My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will reject thee, that thou shall be no priest to me: seeing thou has forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children (KJV)

Occultism includes games and computer games such as:

Included in the list of Occult activity are Cults. The following are some examples of Cults that can ensare a person and cause them to lose their soul.Hari Krishna, Jehovah’s Witness, Christian Science, Rosicrucianism, Theosophy, Urantia, Subud, Latihan, Unity, Mormonism, Bahaism, (all Lodges, Societies, and social agencies using the Bible and God as a basis but denying the Blood of Jesus). This will also include the Masons.

Deuteronomy 18:9-13: When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery ,interprets omens, engages in withcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God.

The draw into the occult can be overwhelming and can ensnare the unsuspecting. The devil will draw his victims in as a fisherman pulls in his catch.

James 1:12-15Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Isaiah 47:8-15Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: 9But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. 10For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. 11Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know. 12Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. 13Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. 14Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. 15Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
