Boldly Speaking the Word of God
The Bible is still the bestselling book of all time! However, the Christian is the one that will really enjoy all the benefits of the Word of God. The Bible says that believers are joint heirs with Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:17: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
The Christian has a gold mine at their disposal. The Bible is a power-packed arsenal against the enemy and a tool prosperity, joy and peaceful living right here on earth. There are many scripture that point to the power source of the Word of God. Every Christian must seek to tap into this power source.
When we become born again, the Bible says we are babes in Christ.
Hebrews 5:12-13: For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
The goal of Christianity is to grow in the things of the Lord. Those scriptures further say, “strong meat belong to those that are of full age”. This means that every Christian is not on the same spiritual level. Additionally, when we become born again on way of growing in the spirit is to practice the spiritual exercise of scripture memory. Scripture memory will assist the believer in the speaking of the Word of God. Speaking the Word of God will come into play whenever a Christian has a problem that is being dealt with whether family , personal, job-related etc. The Bible says, “that my Word shall not return unto me void”.
Isaiah 55:11: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
The Lord is faithful to perform the Word in our lives. As the Christian speaks the Word faith will also increase. Here are a couple of scriptures that show this.
Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Speaking the Word of God is mandatory for growth in the Spirit. Christians must consistently grow in the Spirit in order to be effective and hot with the fire of the H.S.
The Word of God is called the sword of the Spirit in Ephesians 6:17. We should always carry this Sword with us. This is not a physical sword but a spiritual sword that the Lord has given every believer.
Ephesians 6:17: And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
